Nook Life

The days and weeks are just flying by, holy cow can’t believe it’s April already! I do have a few projects to share. I’ve been busy sprucing up my Hello Sunshine baby nook with new clothes, as well as making up some new bags for the General Store.

Have a look and don’t forget that these are all available for purchase at The Nooks. As always, special orders and custom orders are always accepted.

I do have a few pop up markets coming up, will post about those soon and font forget the Knitters Frolic on April 29. Can’t wait to fondle some new yarn and fleecešŸ˜

Lovin’ it All

I’m not only a vendor at The Nooks General Store, but now also an employee! That’s right I work at the General Store a few days a week and I am lovin’ it. Imagine working in a store where you’re selling you’re own creations and getting customer reactions first hand, this is exactly what I wanted to do after retiring. The women I work with are amazing, Colleen, Jessica and Tara are great and the sales staff at the other Nooks are always there to lend a hand.
Stay tuned, we have lots of exciting events in the works that you won’t want to miss. And if you’ve been thinking about selling your creations The Nooks is the place to do it. šŸ˜‰

I have been inspired by so many people that my product line has grown and still growing. Have a look at what I’ve been working on and I hope if you’re in the area you’ll come by and say hello.

The Nooks

I am so excited! Sticks and Pins will now be showcased at The Nook General Store.

I’ve been thinking about this since the spring when Colleen, owner of The Nooks, contacted me to see if I would be interested in being a vendor at the new Design Nook. Can’t believe it took me this long to decide. The Nooks is a great place for artisans to showcase their wares. I have to say it is so inspiring to see what people create, there are so many talented people in Toronto.

Please drop in at one of the four shops. You’re sure to find that special one of a kind gift for that special someone on your Christmas list and something for yourself of course.

So Exciting!

I am so excited to be working with the one and only Dana Gervais! Dana is a sock pattern designer extraordinaire. Her patterns have been featured in I Like Knitting magazine, Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Socks That Rock Rockinā€™ Sock club, Interweave Knits, Knitscene, and Love of Knitting. You can find her new sock pattern in the Fall issue of Knitscene. I love these yellow socks, can’t wait to knit my own pair.

Dana is combining my love of sewing and her love of sock designing.Ā  In September Dana will be launching something new, so be sure to check her blog at:

ThanksĀ  Dana for this great opportunity!

Let’s Frolic

It’s that time of year again when all knitters come together. It’s time for the Knitters Frolic happening Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1, 2016. Just because it’s called the Knitters Frolic doesn’t mean it’s for knitters alone. If you’re a spinner, weaver or crocheter, you’re sure to find all kinds of exciting yarns, and tools and of course Sticks and Pins bags at the Creative Yarns booth.

Come by and say hello! I look forward to meeting you.
